About Psychiatric Care, Inc.
Since beginning her psychiatric practice in 1978, Francine Rasco, MD has worked in private, community and academic settings, gathering broad clinical, leadership and teaching experience. Dr. Rasco has practiced psychiatry in community clinics in Northern and Southern California and Ohio. She served on the academic faculty at the University of Michigan School of Medicine.
At Harding Hospital in Worthington, Ohio (now merged with OSU), she directed a long-term inpatient unit. She also served as president of the medical staff. Dr. Rasco directed and developed Harding's first inpatient eating disorders program before focusing on full-time private practice.
Throughout her career, Dr. Rasco has enjoyed teaching psychiatric residents, medical students and other mental health professionals, as well as lecturing to colleagues and the public. While still in medical school, she chose to specialize in psychiatry because nothing fascinates her as much as the human mind. She still feels privileged to share others' journeys of self-exploration on the road toward healthy functioning and personal fulfillment.
